At Maa Saheli, we take your privacy very seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Data Ownership

Maa Saheli is designed as an offline-first application. Most of your data—including your health logs, notes, and reminders—is stored locally on your device. You own your data.

2. Data Collection and Usage

To provide synchronization and collaborative features, we collect the following information if you choose to sign in:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture (via Google Sign-In) to identify you within your family group.
• Health Data: If you use the Health Tracker, vitals such as weight and blood pressure are stored securely in our database to allow you to access them across devices and share them with authorized family members.
• Family Connectivity: Unique IDs used to link your account with family members for shared checklists and appointment tracking.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to power the app:

• Firebase: We use Firebase Services (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Cloud Messaging) for secure data storage, user authentication, and push notifications.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: We collect anonymous app usage statistics (e.g. screen transitions, tracking frequency) to help analyze and improve our services. No personally identifiable medical data or credentials are sent.
• YouTube: To provide access to curated meditation and relaxation playlists. We do not share your personal health data with YouTube.
• Advertising Partners (Future): We may partner with third-party ad networks in the future to display non-intrusive advertisements. These networks may collect anonymous device identifiers or cookie data solely to serve and measure advertisements.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your health data is only shared with family members whom you explicitly authorize via a secure invite code.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including end-to-end encryption for data in transit and secure Firestore rules to protect your information from unauthorized access.

6. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the application settings. Since we prioritize offline storage, deleting the app will also remove local data from your device.

7. Transactions and Subscriptions

If you choose to purchase premium features or subscriptions in the future, payments will be processed securely through authorized app store payment gateways and third-party payment processors. We do not collect or store your payment details (such as credit card numbers or billing accounts) on our servers. We only store transaction confirmation metadata (such as transaction IDs and subscription status details) to verify and grant access to premium features in your account.
